Defining what a turnover actually is
A turnover is a short, specific routine rather than a small clean. Chairs returned to their positions, the table wiped and cleared, waste and cups removed, the whiteboard cleaned, cables and remotes returned to place, and any provided materials restocked. Six or seven items, achievable in a few minutes, is the right scale. Anything longer will not survive a day with tight bookings.
Writing it down matters even where the office performs it. A turnover done by whoever is nearest, without a defined list, produces inconsistent rooms and the occasional booking that starts with somebody else's coffee cups still on the table. A short written routine pinned in the room or held at reception removes the variation without adding any real cost.
