Formal opening times are not arrival times
An office that opens to the public at half past eight may have half its staff at their desks by seven. Health administration functions often align with clinical rosters rather than with office convention, and the practical consequence is that a schedule built around a published opening time will put a cleaner into an occupied office. That is a common and entirely avoidable mistake, and it is discovered within the first week rather than gradually.
Establishing the real pattern takes one conversation with the manager. It is worth asking not only when people arrive but which areas they arrive into, since early starters frequently cluster in one part of the floor. That detail sometimes allows a morning attendance to survive, covering the areas that stay empty until later while the early-occupied zone is handled the previous evening.
