The term-time pattern around a front counter
A school front office takes constant short-duration traffic: parents at the counter, students collecting notes, couriers with deliveries and visitors signing in and out. The counter, the sign-in point, the waiting seating and the adjacent washroom carry that load and generally justify daily attention through term. Behind the counter, administration desks, the photocopy area and the staff room follow a pattern much closer to an ordinary office.
The sick bay or first aid area needs its own line in the schedule rather than being folded into the general office task list. It is used unpredictably, it sometimes needs attention between scheduled visits, and the school will usually have its own requirements about what happens after a particular kind of use. Naming it separately makes the arrangement explicit rather than assumed, and gives staff a clear point to raise when something falls outside it.
