Choosing the day the visit falls on
The day matters more on a weekly schedule than on any other. A visit on Monday leaves the premises at their best at the start of the week and at their worst on Friday, which is when many small practices see their heaviest client attendance. A visit on Wednesday or Thursday splits the week and generally produces a more even result across it.
Where the practice has a clear peak day, the visit is usually best placed on the evening before it. A practice that runs a busy Friday clinic benefits far more from a Thursday attendance than a Monday one, even though the premises will then be at their least presentable on the Monday when very little is happening. The reasoning should be recorded so the day is not moved casually later.
