The customer-facing zone needs a deadline
Waiting areas in automotive premises take a particular kind of soil. Customers arrive in work boots, sit for twenty minutes, use a coffee machine and leave, and the same seats turn over repeatedly through the morning. Presenting that space at its best at eight o'clock is worth more than presenting it perfectly at eleven, because by eleven the peak has already passed and the impression has already been made.
Writing a completion time rather than an attendance time changes how the visit is planned. The cleaner knows what must be finished and by when, and can order the remaining tasks around that. It also gives the business a simple test: if the counter and waiting area are not right at opening, the schedule is wrong, regardless of how many hours were spent on site.
