Public zone first, staff zone second
Reversing the usual order is the main adjustment. Many office schedules start at the back and work forward, finishing at reception on the way out. In a counter operation that produces the worst possible result, because the area with the hardest deadline is completed last and any overrun lands exactly where the public will see it. Starting at the counter and moving inward removes that risk.
It also improves the drying position. If the public floor is done at the start of the attendance, it has the length of the whole visit to dry before anyone walks on it. Doing it last means either a wet floor at opening or a rushed dry-mop that leaves marks, and neither is acceptable in a space where the first thing a visitor does is stand in a queue.
